"Footprints" ("the App") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
The App uses your device's location (GPS) to automatically record when and where you were, how long you stayed, and your travel routes. This location data is stored only on your device and is never sent to any server, including the developer's.
To show the name of a place you visited, the App uses Apple's own CoreLocation (CLGeocoder) service. This lookup happens through Apple's built-in location service and never passes through any server operated by the developer.
All recorded location data and place labels are stored only in a database on your device. The developer cannot access this data. Whether this data is backed up (e.g. to iCloud or a computer) depends on your device's own settings.
The App lets you export your recorded data as CSV, GPX, or JSON files. You are responsible for how you store, share, or delete any exported files.
The App does not share your information with any third party, including advertising companies. The App does not display ads.
Uninstalling the App deletes all data stored on your device. You can also delete individual records from within the App.
For questions about this policy, please use the contact information listed on the App's App Store page.
